Stated precisely
What stays local – and what doesn't.
Local: data and models
Datasets, training runs and finished models live only on your machines. We never see them.
Local: usage
The app sends no usage telemetry. Error reports are only sent if you turn them on when signing up or in the app settings.
Online: account and licence
Sign-in, licence and payment run through frame-train.com and Stripe. Downloading models from Hugging Face also needs the internet.
Typical projects
What teams can use FrameTrain for.
- 01
Sort tickets and emails
A text classifier routes requests into your categories – trained on your real, confidential examples.
- 02
Classify documents
Assign contracts, invoices or reports to a type automatically, without handing them to a cloud service.
- 03
Adapt an internal language model
Tune a small language model to manuals and internal FAQs with LoRA.
- 04
Visual quality checks
An object detector finds defects or missing parts in photos from production.

Who's behind it
Built in Mainz, Germany.
FrameTrain is developed by Karol Paschek in Mainz, Germany. It started with a project of his own: adapting a language model to sensitive data without putting it in the cloud.

Frequently asked questions
Training itself processes no personal data on our servers – datasets and models stay on your machines. Our privacy policy covers account and payment data. Whether your specific project is lawful depends on the data and the purpose; no software alone can guarantee that.
Usually not for the training data, because we never receive it. For account data, our privacy policy applies. If in doubt, check with your data protection officer.
Training runs locally. Sign-in, licence checks and downloading models from Hugging Face need a connection.
Right now there are individual licences per account. If you want to use FrameTrain as a team, write to us – we'll find a solution.
